The world of Ihrun is full of magic, and it must be exterminated.

Clairène is a witch-hunter of Surrindohr Academy, trained to protect the realm from the threat of witches. Once normal people, witches are corrupted by the magic that inhabits them, until they lose their minds and attack the innocent without mercy.

But when a dangerous encounter with a powerful witch goes wrong, Clairène’s latent magic awakens, and she becomes the very thing she’s been taught to destroy. And when her strange new power transports her and her comrades into enemy territory, she has no choice but to hide her magic or be killed.
